The cute little EV you’re looking at is dubbed the Citigoᵉ iV and is Skoda’s first foray into the world of electric vehicles.

Launched at the Frankfurt Motor Show after first being unveiled in May, the Citigoᵉ iV doesn’t use a dedicated EV platform but is instead based on the current ICE-powered Citigo city car. It is powered by a single 82 HP electric motor with 155 lb-ft (210 Nm) and a 36.8 kWh lithium-ion battery pack that is good for a range of up to 165 miles (265 km) on the WLTP cycle.

The sprint to 62 mph (100 km/h) is dealt with in 12.5 seconds and top speed is 81 mph (130 km/h). Not much, but for a car that will spend most, if not all, of its time in urban environment, it’s more than adequate.

Skoda is offering the Citigoᵉ iV exclusively as a five-door and in two trim levels, Ambition and Style.

The first includes 14-inch steel wheels with 165/70 R14 tires as standard, and 16-inch ‘Scorpius’ alloys with unique wheel trims and 185/50 R16 tires as an option (the latter are standard on the Style). As for colors, buyers can choose between Candy White, Tornado Red, Sunflower Yellow, Kiwi Green, Deep Pearlescent Black, Crystal Blue, and Tungsten Silver.
