2019 LA Auto Show Preview: A-To-Z Guide To All The Debuts

This year’s Los Angeles Auto Show promises to be one of the richest in recent times, no doubt helped by the fact that the Detroit Motor Show has moved from its traditional slot in January to June, as it seeks to reinvent itself, thus allowing automakers to concentrate their premieres on one event during this period.

Flashback: All the premieres from the 2018 LA Auto Show

More than 65 new vehicle debuts, including at least 25 world premieres, have been confirmed (albeit not all named yet) for AutoMobility LA, the show’s press and trade days, taking place November 18-21, 2019 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. The doors for the public will open to visitors from November 22 through December 1, with nearly 1,000 vehicles being on stage.

The highlights

Debut automobiles at this year’s event span across all segments, price-points, and powertrains, including, of course, electric. There’s plenty to get excited and interested about, from cracking new entries like Ford’s electric Mustang-inspired SUV, Genesis’ GV80 luxury crossover and Audi’s e-Tron Sportback, to revisions of existing models such as Alfa Romeo’s facelifted 2020 Stelvio and Guilia, and the new BMW 2-Series Gran Coupe. We’ll also have a number of concepts to talk about like VW’s electric ID. SPACE VIZZION that previews the production ID.4.

To be announced debuts

Aside from the already announced world and North American premieres, there’s a host of brands that have confirmed multiple debuts for their press conferences without naming them yet, including Kia (1), Hyundai (several), Lexus (1), Mazda (several), Subaru (several), Toyota (several), and VW (several).

Be sure to check back for updates

CarScoops will be checking on those debuts around the clock, rounding up all the news over at our dedicated LA Auto Show hub here. We’ll also be updating the following list as we get more information in the days ahead. woah that interior is so much nicer than Lexus and on par with bmw. im glad they’re not following in Acuras footsteps.

      • MarketAndChurch

It is, I’ve been wanting something like this for such a long time. It’s so much cleaner, it makes me miss Audi’s old fold-away screen’s on their old A8’s. The screen is still there on this car but it doesn’t feel forced and the dash is so much more airy and covered in leather/wood/brushed aluminum or whatever else you might want.

        • boo boo the fool

I feel like Mercedes interiors look nice but the quality isn’t as good and it’s just for show. I feel like this car will genuinely compete and sell well once they make dealers. this interior will probably age well unlike lexus which is showing its age after a few years.

Your “feeling” would be wrong and that of inexperience. Korean cars don’t hold up worth a squat, but since this is luxury it should be better.

            M

          • pissedoffjuicebox

Don’t project about your own inexperience, I own a Honda and a Kia, and the Kia feels substantially better than the Honda and is holding up just as well.

          • Merc1

Korean cars are crap after a few years. You will see, projected and all.

            M

          • pissedoffjuicebox

Don’t lie. We all know you are a paid troll.

          • Merc1

No lies needed, the proof is in the junkyard. I wish I was paid to comment here.

            M

          • pissedoffjuicebox

Hmm…I recall I drove my Kia to work today, not really in the junkyard idiot.

          • Merc1

            Give it time dummy.

            M

    • kan hu

      Oh…Cool!

    • Merc1

When Genesis gets their SUVs on the ground they can be taken seriously. Oh and fix the styling on that G90, it’s awful.

      M

      • donald seymour

I absolutely love the G90’s styling. But to each their own.

        • pissedoffjuicebox

Agree, G90 looks like a gangnam-style assault yacht. Love it.

          • donald seymour

I don’t know if you are being sarcastic or serious.

          • pissedoffjuicebox

            Serious, I love it.

          • donald seymour

Okay, great. Your analogy is interesting.

        • Merc1

It’s a terrible collection of other car designs. Interior is much better.

          M

          • donald seymour

            Understood. I don’t agree, but I understand.

  • MarketAndChurch

The Mustang SUV won’t look as cool but I’m hoping to be surprised. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/b4db3e39f81997214d819087f2efd2323a2ec8cfafe5ce18f0d08ee53cb3472a.jpg

    • Merc1

That is gorgeous to me. It’s curvy and hippy. Looks like a bigger Puma.

      M

  • boo boo the fool

I don’t know why but im really excited for what the Koreans have to show (genesis gv80, Kia Optima, Hyundai Tucson) bc the renders stand out to me. I also want to see what Volkswagen has in store

  • Zandit75

Doesn’t look like a really big show.

    • ThatGuy

It will be, the writer is showing cars he know might be there, depending on his research and credibility.
He will update this article multiple times and refresh it multiples times, leading up to the actual show. There are still alot of Manufacturers that will go, but they need to decide on their line-ups. But this article being spammed is not over.

  • NoMan2015

Why would the Golf be there when it’s not going to be sold here…besides the get to be revealed GTI?

    • JohnCarscoop

It’s not going to be there; we originally had it as a “Not Confirmed”, until we spoke to VW

  • Sebastien

I’m waiting for more info about the Rav4 PHEV. Looks like it will get 70km of electric range, which is really good.

  • Jason Miller

Can probably expect the 2020 Nissan Sentra. Maybe the Infiniti QX55?

    • JohnCarscoop

Infiniti told us that the QX55 won’t be in LA

      • Ben

Do you know how substantial the debut from Lincoln will be? Are they hinting at a new model or likely a redesign?

  • Wayne Alan Carr Heyes

Where the hell is to 2020 Renault Megane Facelift ?

  • Ben

    My top five interest:
    1) Hyundai’s Tucson (Looks identical to the Urus’ side profile)

    2) Mustang SUV ( Homerun or failure, I don’t see much room in between)

    3) Genesis GV80 (I want to see those 2020 G90 wheels bad!)

    4) VW ID.4 (Wish the ID.3 was available, but eh, this is what we got)

    5) Mercedes-Maybach GLS (Just how ostentatious can it be?)

  • Zeuster

Awe man. I was hoping for the Defender to show up. This does l=not look like a complete list though.

  • ErnieB

I’d sleep in an RS6 Avant thank you..

  • Samantha

I still remember the moment when I lost my job couple of months back from my company in which I have given too much time and hardwork. I was at no time into business similar to get rich “overnight” which afterwards turned into marketing promotions tactics where you ought to firstly get very interested potential consumers after which sell a product to friends or any person in order that they will be in your team. This on-line job has given me freedom to work-from-home and now a days I could invest valuable time with my spouse and children and get enough free time to go out on a family trips. This work has provided me an opportunity to receive earnings approximately $15000-$16000 every month by doing very simple internet based job. Go and take a look at most wonderful work opportunity.>>>>>>>>>>>>> ACCEPTCOCOA.ERLEGEN.DE
