Buick is finally giving us a official look at its all-new Enclave and facelifted Envision SUVs for China.

Previewed at the Buick SUV Night on the eve of the Guangzhou Auto Show, the two models are tailored for the Chinese market – although the Envision is likely to export the 2020MY updates to the United States too.

Starting off with the restyled Buick Envision, it adopts a new exterior design featuring new lights, a larger grille, as well as redesigned bumpers and tailgate which now features a sharper horizontal chrome bar that pierces deeper into the lamps. As for the interior, it looks more upscale and adopts Buick’s latest infotainment system and connectivity features.

There’s also a 28T model which features a 2.0-liter SIDI turbocharged engine matched with a nine-speed Hydra-Matic automatic gearbox. Factoring in trim levels, there are seven variants available for prices ranging between RMB 189,900 and RMB 279,900 ($27,000 – $39,800). In the first 10 months of the year, the Envision was Buick China’s most popular SUV and third most popular model.

Moving on to the Enclave, it’s Buick’s first locally built seven-seat large SUV in China and it comes in two flavors: regular and Avenir. We’ve already shown you the posh Enclave Avenir two weeks ago so we’ll now focus on the specs as the design is no longer a secret.

China’s 2020 Buick Enclave is 4,981-mm (196.1-in) long, 1,953-mm (76.9-in) wide, and 1,732-mm (68.2-in) high, with the wheelbase measuring 2,863 mm (112.7 in). That makes it smaller than the distinct U.S. model, which is 5,190-mm (204.3-in) long, 2,000-mm (78.8-in) wide, and 1,780-mm (69.9-in) high, with a wheelbase of 3,070 mm (120.9 in).

Still, the Chinese model is big enough to accommodate up to seven passengers (six in the Avenir) on three rows of seats. All models are equipped with 20-inch alloys and matrix headlights as standard, with an eighth-generation Ecotec 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline engine mated to a nine-speed Hydra-Matic transmission being the only available choice.

The engine delivers 233 HP (236 PS) and 350 Nm (258 lb-ft) of torque between 1,500 and 4,000 rpm. According to Buick, the Enclave averages as low as 7.4 l/100 km (31.8 mpg) on the combined cycle.
