Today, an original KITT (Knight Industries Two Thousand) is hard to find, as of the 20 utilized by the producers, only five still exist. Nonetheless, should you be in the market for such a ride, there are a few replicas out there that you may want to check out, including this one advertised by SilverstoneAuctions for the NEC Classic Motor Show sale hosted on November 9, at the National Exhibition Center in Birmingham, UK.
Based on a 1983 Trans Am, it packs a 5.7-liter V8 paired to a four-speed automatic gearbox. The car was purchased from Miami and brought to the UK in February 2016, and it has not yet been registered for road use, although this “may be possible”, according to the auction house, who hasn’t provided an estimated selling price. Nonetheless, these cars cost a lot to make, and we saw an example listed for as much as $60,000 in the past, so if you were looking for a bargain, you probably won’t find it here.
