With thousands of cars fighting for your attention at this year’s SEMA it can be pretty hard to pick a favorite but as soon as we saw a Suzuki Jimny with a wide bodykit and a turbo resting under the bonnet, we couldn’t take our eyes off it.

This little Suzuki is a right-hand drive JDM Jimny Sierra created by Car Style Japan, the same people responsible for turning the Prius into a crossover back in 2017.

Details are a bit murky at the moment, but we do know it is a fully built project that features the first turbo kit designed for the Jimny’s 1.5-liter four-cylinder petrol engine. The turbocharger is a GReddy TZ unit.

The small off-roader is finished in a very nice shade of grey, which looks like the factory color option, and sits on Volk Racing wheels shod on Toyo mud terrain tires.

It’s also fitted with a wide body kit to cover its new shoes, as well as new bumpers and LED taillights, while the spare wheel on the rear hatch has been removed. The exhaust system is also from GReddy and features dual pipes exiting from the license plate position.

The interior has been fitted with a roll cage, deleting the rear bench, and a pair of tasty bucket seats to keep you in position.

So far Car Style Japan hasn’t announced any power figures; the stock 1.5-liter engine produces 100 naturally aspirated horsepower, so adding a nicely designed turbo kit should make a big difference on and off the road.

We all like the Suzuki Jimny in its factory form for its honest character but this tuned example makes us feel very excited, to say the least.
