Bugatti Veyron Comes With Heart-Stopping Maintenance Costs

If you thought the oil change on your daily driver was kind of expensive, wait until you hear how much it costs on a Bugatti Veyron.

There’s no easy way to put it, so we’ll just spill it out: $25,000! Yep, that’s right, it costs more to change the fluids in Molsheim’s previous-generation hypercar than to go to the dealer and buy a brand new Honda Civic.

Revealing the eye-watering sum was Manny Khoshbin, a real estate mogul and avid car collector. The man owns a dream garage, complete with shiny white floors, which is home to some of the best modern-day exotic machines out there. He actually has two Veyrons, including a Mansory-tuned beast in addition to the Roadster detailed on video, so multiply that amount by 2.  Of course, he’ll also take delivery of a special Chiron soon.

Bugatti recommends changing the tires every 2 to 3 years, so that’s another $38,000 right there, according to Khosbin. Add $50,000 for the rims, which should be replaced every 10,000 miles (16,000 km), and you’re looking at roughly $100,000 in maintenance costs for the first few visits to the mechanic – assuming everything goes smooth and your Veyron has no other issues, of course.

Anyone who can afford to spend a couple of million on a car probably doesn’t give a hoot about fuel consumption. However, when dinner ends up costing less than the fuel required to get to the restaurant, you’ll have a funny story to tell to your millionaire friends – or YouTube viewers, on your way to the local dealer for an oil change.
