After buying his father a brand new Ford Explorer for Christmas three years ago, Dwayne Johnson surprised his sister-in-law, Aja Hashian, with a Cadillac Escalade last week.
The moment was shared on Instagram with is 166 million followers, accompanied by the caption: “This Christmas surprise felt good. Merry Christmas to my sister-in-law @aja_elan for simply being the most loving, supportive and coolest human we could ever ask for. From day 1. Enjoy your new ride with good mana and love. Merry Christmas! We’re grateful for you sis.”

The sticker price on a new Cadillac Escalade is $75,195, although base trim levels are harder to come by. For the Luxury and Premium Luxury, you’re looking at $80,795 and $85,195, respectively, while the top-of-the-line Platinum has an MSRP of $92,295. The Standard grade is nicely equipped, with leather upholstery, heated first and second rows, Bose audio, chrome exterior details, hands-free liftgate, magnetic ride control suspension and 6.2-liter V8 engine paired to a 10-speed automatic transmission.
Cadillac is working on the fifth generation Escalade as we speak, which will bring a more modern exterior design and General Motors’ T1 platform found on the 2021 Tahoe, Suburban and Yukon. On the inside, it will boast a gigantic 38-inch curved display and a wide selection of premium materials. The new Escalade should get some sort of electrification, but this variant is likely reserved for the coming years. Meanwhile, the regular models are thought to arrive at dealers in the coming months.
