Cars such as the Mitsubishi Lancer EVO and the Impreza STI, exist for the sole purpose of constantly thrilling the driver, unlike say a BMW M3 for example, which is a lot more composed when driven under the speed limit.

Something like the EVO X on the other hand is more rough around the edges, and not as comfortable around town as some might expect. What it does well though is put a smile on your face when you floor the throttle, and that can easily get you in trouble.

And trouble is precisely what the driver of a blue Lancer EVO X received recently on Mandai Road in Singapore. The Mitsubishi approached the car with the twin-dashcams and began to tailgate aggressively – raise your hand if you’re the least bit surprised.

A few moments later, the Lancer overtakes the cammer and reverts back to the third lane. Unfortunately for him, he didn’t notice that a silver car had moved into his lane. Once the Mitsubishi started to brake, all hell broke loose.

What happened next is that the Japanese sports sedan began to slide across the road, making contact with a small unsuspecting truck before mounting the curb in shame.

Now, even though that’s literally all the information we have, we can’t help but feel that an experienced driver wouldn’t have put themselves in such a position.

We’re also a little surprised to see the Mitsubishi’s wheels lock up the way they did, since the car’s ABS should have managed that situation more gracefully. Did the driver actually engage the handbrake?
