Fiat spared no expense promoting its new and fully-electric 500e model. Aside from all the special edition one-offs, such as the 500 Giorgio Armani or the Bvlgari-themed one, the Italian brand managed to get Hollywood star Leonardo DiCaprio to endorse their stylish, eco-friendly city car.

Of course, it’s no surprise that DiCaprio said yes to working on this project, given how committed he’s always been to combating climate change.

The actor and activist stars in two separate videos. One is dubbed “All-In” and is dedicated to the “La Prima” launch edition. In this ad, DiCaprio invites viewers to commit to fighting climate change and support sustainability.

The second clip is called “Reincarnation”, and focuses a bit more on Fiat as a brand and how they’ve been inspiring change since 1957.

Regarding the previously-mentioned one-off models (three in total – Armani, Bvlgari, Kartell), they will be sold at auction with the proceeds going to one of Leonardo DiCaprio’s environmental organizations.

The new electric Fiat 500 sits on a new platform and as such has managed to grow in size compared to its predecessor. It is 2.3-inches (6 cm) longer, 2.3 inches (6 cm) wider and 1.6 inches (4 cm) taller than before. Power comes from a 116 HP electric motor and a 42 kWh lithium-ion battery, which in turn provides the user with 199 miles (320 km) of driving range on the WLTP cycle.

The new 500 is also the first car in its segment to come with Level 2 autonomous technology. It features adaptive cruise control with lane keep assist, aided by a front-facing camera. As for the interior, there’s plenty of on-board tech available, such as the latest UConnect 5 infotainment system, coursing through a wide 10.25-inch touchscreen display.
