Well, this new gallery from the German car manufacturer provides us with an excellent look at the new crossover. The variants pictured in these new photos are the GLA 250 and GLA 220d.

The first of those variants feature a 2.0-liter four-cylinder petrol engine producing 221 HP (224 PS) and 258 lb-ft (350 Nm) of torque. We suspect that many buyers looking to pick up a new GLA 250 will actually opt for the 4Matic variant featuring the company’s excellent all-wheel drive system. The added grip helps this version reach 62 mph (100 km/h) in 6.7 seconds.

As for the Mercedes-Benz GLA 220d, it too is offered in front- and all-wheel drive configurations, and it slots above the GLA 200d as the range-topping diesel offering. Power comes courtesy of a 2.0-liter (technically 1.95-liter) four-cylinder making 187 HP (190 PS) at 3,800 rpm and 295 lb-ft (400 Nm) of torque between 1,600 rpm and 2,600 rpm.

When equipped with front-wheel drive, the GLA 220d hits 62 mph (100 km/h) in 7.4 seconds and tops out at 135 mph (217 km/h). The GLA 220d 4Matic reaches 62 mph in 7.3 seconds and reaches a top speed of 136 mph (219 km/h).
