As this review reveals, the 2020 Cadillac XT6 is good but just how good is it?

Roadshow recently had the opportunity to test out the new XT6 in Sport AWD Platinum specification and appear to have mixed feelings with it.

First, there is the styling. The reviewer is a fan of the exterior looks of the XT6 and we are too. It is edgy and bold without being over-the-top and is much more stylish than the larger Escalade. Inside, things are just as nice with a number of lovely materials and loads of technology, including a Bose audio system and a comprehensive driver aid suite that includes automatic parking. The 2020 XT6 lacks Cadillac’s Super Cruise system but it will arrive in a later model year.

Then we come to the badge on the tailgate reading ‘400.’ While you could be excused for thinking it refers to the SUV’s horsepower output, it doesn’t. Instead, the ‘400’ is part of Cadillac’s latest nomenclature and references the amount of torque the engine has in newton meters. The only problem with this is that the XT6 doesn’t have 400 Nm and actually delivers 367 Nm, or 271 lb-ft. As for power from the 3.6-liter V6 engine, it sits at 310 hp.

It shouldn’t come as a surprise that the driving experience of the XT6 isn’t exactly sporty, despite the badge of this particular example, but the reviewer does say that it’s comfortable.

Is the Cadillac XT6 the best SUV in its segment? Not exactly as Roadshow says the Lincoln Aviator surpasses it in most areas.
