BMW’s New ‘Sunrise’ Editions Of X2, 3-Series, And Z4 Are Exclusively For Japan

BMW has just unveiled three limited-edition variants based on the 3-Series, Z4, and X2 dubbed the ‘Edition Sunrise.’ The cars are exclusive to the Japanese market.

The trio are all finished in Alpine White and stand out thanks to a red line running along the base of the doors and across the wing mirrors. The X2 and Z4 models will reach the hands of customers from next month while the 3-Series Edition Sunrise will land later in the year.

The sole X2 available in Edition Sunrise form is the xDrive18d M Sport model. Limited to just 200 units, it combines the Alpine White paint and red accents with 19-inch M wheels, the M aerodynamics package, an M rear lip spoiler, M leather steering wheel, and the BMW Individual high gloss shadow line. It also comes complete with aluminum hexagon trim and is priced at ¥5,540,000 ($51,404).

As for the 3-Series model, it is based on the 320d xDrive M Sport. A total of 200 examples finished in Alpine White will be produced, complete with 19-inch wheels and an M rear spoiler, while sporting a ¥6,870,000 ($63,744) price tag. BMW will also sell the 320d xDrive M Sport Edition Sunrise in Melbourne Red as opposed to Alpine White, although production of this example will be restricted to just 50 units. This variant is a touch more expensive at ¥7,030,000 ($65,229).

Last but not least is the BMW Z4 Edition Sunrise, based around the sDrive20i M Sport. It will be capped at 50 examples and also features 19-inch black wheels. Customers will need to spend ¥7,400,000 ($68,662) to get behind the wheel.
