Shelby’s Ford F-150 Super Snake is shaping up to be an animal and will likely prove too expensive and too much of a handful for most. Thankfully for fans of powerful pickup trucks, there is a solution as Shelby is now selling a 1:18 scale model of the F-150 Super Snake.

Priced at $149.95, Shelby will build just 200 examples of the model, each painted in a stealthy shade of black alongside grey Super Snake stripes. There are also a set of replica 20-inch chrome wheels and a fully detailed interior that even includes tiny Shelby emblems. All examples sold will come with a certificate of authenticity.

As for the real-life Ford F-150 Super Snake from Shelby, it was unveiled as a concept at SEMA late last year and swiftly approved for production.

Powering the vehicle is a 5.0-liter V8 engine that in standard form delivers 395 hp. However, we suspect the vast majority of customers will opt for the supercharged V8 that churns out a much more impressive 770 hp. Shelby says this version can hit 60 mph (96 km/h) in a mere 3.45 seconds.

A host of other performance-focused modifications have also been made, including a Borla exhaust, retuned suspension and an upgraded brake package that includes red calipers.

Then there’s the exterior styling. The front fascia has been completely revised with a new bumper, mesh grille inserts, and a custom hood with a ram air intake. Other alterations include 22-inch aluminum wheels, a carpeted bed and an aerodynamic tonneau cover.

The 395 hp F150 Super Snake starts from $86,085, with the 770hp supercharged version priced from $93,385. Compared to that, the scale model is deal.
