There’s been a rash of dealership thefts recently and the latest involves a Bentley Continental GT that was stolen off the showroom floor.

According to Fox 17, the crime spree in Holland, Michigan began when thieves broke into Elhart Hyundai and managed to steal four different vehicles, including a Hyundai Palisade and Genesis G70 as well as a Chevrolet Impala and Ford Fusion.

While that’s a relatively impressive haul, the thieves weren’t ready to call it quits. Instead, they drove the stolen vehicles to European Autohaus, where they used a tire iron to break into the used car dealership.

They then scoured the dealership looking for keys and managed to find the ones belonging to the Continental GT. What happened next is pretty insane as they drove the vehicle right through the showroom doors.

Of course, things didn’t go exactly as planned as the car clipped a frame and got held up. However, the thief just floored it and managed to get free.

Police arrived as the thieves were leaving and this led to a chase involving the stolen Ford Fusion. However, the driver managed to ditch the car and get away.

MLive reports there have been more than 36 cars stolen from Grand Rapids area dealerships over the course of approximately two weeks, and some have been used to commit other crimes such as break-ins, with the police having already made several arrests.
