Launch Editions are popular with consumers and Dodge is happy to oblige them as they’ve unveiled a special edition TRX.

Limited to just 702 units, the Ram 1500 TRX Launch Edition features a unique Anvil Gray exterior with bodyside graphics and beadlock-capable wheels. Additional changes are limited, but buyers will find a special center console badge which is made from brushed aluminum and features red accents.

That’s not much to get excited about, but the truck comes equipped with the TR Level 2 Equipment Group. As a result, it has eight-way power leather front seats with heating and ventilation. There’s also a heated steering wheel, power adjustable pedals, a passive entry system and a wireless smartphone charger.

Other highlights include carbon fiber trim, a panoramic sunroof, a head-up display and a 19-speaker Harman Kardon premium audio system. The model also has a 12-inch Uconnect infotainment system, a digital rearview mirror, adaptive cruise control and a leather-wrapped steering wheel with carbon fiber accents.

Like the standard TRX, the Launch Edition is powered by a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine that produces 702 hp (523 kW / 712 PS) and 650 lb-ft (880 Nm) of torque. It is connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission and a standard four-wheel drive system. This enables the truck to accelerate from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 4.5 seconds and run the quarter mile in 12.9 seconds at 108 mph (174 km/h).

Of course, it also features an off-road focused suspension with adaptive dampening, a two-inch (51 mm) lift and 35-inch Goodyear Territory all-terrain tires.

The 2021 Ram 1500 TRX Launch Edition will go into production in the fourth quarter and the package costs $12,150 on top of the truck’s base price of $69,995.  However, when you add in the $1,695 destination charge, the $7,920 Level 2 Equipment Group and mandatory two-tone paint, you’re looking at a starting price of $92,010.
