A single teaser image of the 2021 Maserati GranTurismo was released during the unveiling of the new MC20.

Maserati plans on launching 13 new models by the end of 2024 and the new GranTurismo will follow the MC20 as one of the first new models to launch under this expansion plan.

Few styling details about the new GranTurismo are known but this teaser image indicates it will have a similar overall shape to the old model. With that being said, we can see redesigned headlights and taillights seemingly inspired by those of the MC20.

Production of the first-generation GranTurismo wrapped up late last year after 12 years. Few details about the new model are known at this early stage.

However, Maserati has confirmed that all of its future models will be available with all-electric variants meaning a zero-emissions GranTurismo model will be offered to customers as well. It remains unclear what internal combustion engine options will be available. Maserati will also release a new GranCabrio model based around the re-designed grand tourer.

The second-generation GranTurismo isn’t the only new model that Maserati confirmed at the launch of the MC20. An SUV dubbed the Grecale is also being developed to sit below the Levante in the Maserati family. It will be based on the same Giorgio platform as the Alfa Romeo Stelvio and takes its name from an easterly wind in the western Mediterranean Sea and southern France.
