Images that are allegedly previewing the next-generation 2022 Toyota Tundra have surfaced online and, if genuine, reveal a vehicle that looks significantly different than the outgoing model.
These photos were shared to Instagram by the cars_secrets page and are supposed to preview the front and rear fascias of the new pickup truck. The most revealing shows a new headlight that includes a T-shaped daytime running light and a small air vent in between the lower portion of the light and the front grille.
Darker images of the truck’s front end with the lights turned on showcase a second small LED light on the other side of the bumper as swell as an LED bar on the grille. Last but not least, the photos provide us with a glimpse of the rear end that includes C-shaped taillights.

Sitting beneath the skin of the new Tundra will be the automaker’s F1 architecture also shared with the next-generation Tacoma and Sequoia. This new platform should give the 2022 Tundra a more spacious cabin loaded with tech, including a 12.3-inch touchscreen with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Amazon Alexa, 4G Wi-Fi connectivity and a JBL audio system.
As for power, the 2022 Tundra will probably be offered with a hybrid 3.5-liter V6 and a twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 with 450 hp. It is understood these new V6 engines will replace the current 4.6-liter and 5.7-liter V8s used by the current pickup truck.
