Subaru has dropped a new teaser of the 2022 BRZ ahead of its global debut on November 18.

This video, shared on social media, teases the new BRZ driving along a twisty road. While the POV clip doesn’t provide us with a look at the exterior of the Japanese sports car, we do get the opportunity to hear its engine – and see its right rear wheel…

A teaser image released by Subaru earlier this month revealed that the new BRZ’s front fascia will look quite different than the outgoing model and sport new headlights as well as a sculpted hood.

Spy shots have also provided us with a decent look at the new sports coupe’s design. Most notably, it will feature new taillights connected by an LED light bar, dual tailpipes and a subtle ducktail spoiler on the decklid.

Much of the speculation regarding the new BRZ concerns its engine. Some sources claim that it will ditch the outgoing model’s 2.0-liter mill in favor of a 2.4-liter four-cylinder that pumps out 217 hp and 177 lb-ft (240 Nm) of torque. Those are only modest improvements over the 2.0-liter and many are still hoping that the new car will be turbocharged and could have upwards of 260 hp and 277 lb-ft (376 Nm) of torque. Will this be the case? We will find out in a couple of days.
