For one 2021 Audi RS7 Sportback owner, Christmas came earlier this year, as they recently took delivery of the first RS7-R in North America.

Built by ABT Sportsline’s partner GMP Performance in North Carolina, it boasts the tuner’s Power Upgrade that lifts the engine’s output and torque to 690 HP and 649 lb-ft (880 Nm) of torque.

We don’t know how much faster it makes it, but the stock variant, whose twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 kicks out 591 HP and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm), takes 3.5 seconds from nought to 60 mph (0-96 km/h). It has a 174 mph (280 km/h) V-max that can be lifted to 190 mph (306 km/h) as an option.

Other highlights of the project include an exterior makeover, with carbon fiber parts that make it look more aggressive. There is a new front lip with side blades that holds the ‘RS7-R’ logo in the middle, a grille add-on, fender inserts with the ‘1 of 125’ logo that reminds bystanders that this is a limited edition offering, rear bumper inserts, a mean diffuser with cutouts for the quad exhaust pipes and a thin spoiler on the tailgate.

The car sits on the 22-inch dual-tone wheels with a Y-spoke pattern and features more bespoke badges and logos inside, as well as a carbon fiber shift knob cover.

The visuals cost $37,990 in the U.S. and the engine upgrade is another $3,890, excluding taxes and installation. Other options include the height adjustable springs, anti-roll bars, carbon fiber coated dashboard covers and seat panels, and the signature start/stop switch cap with the ABT logo.
