Ford may be discontinuing Cyber Orange for the 2022 model year Bronco. The good news, though, is that the reason it might go is to make way for new colors.

The revelation was made by Ford spokesperson Mike Levin. In a Twitter exchange noticed by Ford Authority, Levine told a customer that he wasn’t “sure if Cyber Orange will still be available for MY22.”

The color has been used in much of Ford’s press material and was among the first shown when the Bronco broke cover. The SUV has been notable for its rich color palette and this shade of orange, in particular, really seemed to resonate with fans so it will be sad to see it go.

Fortunately, Levine added that “New colors come in when others go and there are new colors coming in 2022.”

Although Levine didn’t commit to Cyber Orange leaving the lineup, it will be interesting to see what happens with values down the line. A fun color offered only in the first year might mean that orange Broncos could appreciate in the future.

The other colors offered for the 2021MY Bronco are Shadow Black, Oxford White, Antimatter Blue, Cactus Gray, Iconic Silver, Area 51, Velocity Blue, Race Red, Rapid Red, and Cactus Gray.

Supplier issues have forced Ford to delay production of the 2021 Bronco. Deliveries are now expected to start before the end of May.
