Even in stock form, the Audi RS Q8 has the grunt to mix it with the fastest SUVs currently on sale, but with ABT Sportsline’s tuning kit it can smoke most of them.

The RSQ8-R package includes a high-tech engine control unit and a specially designed intercooler, lifting the twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8’s output and torque from 591 HP (599 PS / 441 kW) and 590 lb-ft (799 Nm) of torque, to a whopping 730 HP (740 PS / 544 kW) and 678 lb-ft (920 Nm).

With this upgrade, ABT claims that the SUV coupe is capable of sprinting from rest to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 3.4 seconds, down from 3.8 seconds. Maximum speed can be increased by 6 mph (10 km/h) to 196 mph (315 km/h) as an option, though that’s not the only extra, as customers can also order the aftermarket stainless steel exhaust system with 4-inch (102 mm) tailpipes, as well as a custom suspension.

A limited-run edition made to celebrate the tuner’s 125th anniversary, the RSQ8-R package is capped at 125 units, and the San Marino Blue metallic painted example pictured is only the latest to have come out. Like the rest of the lineup, it has an aerodynamic body kit with carbon fiber elements, including the front, side and rear add-ons, side mirror caps, wheelhouse ventilation, fender extensions, and roof spoiler, and sits on ABT’s 23-inch GR black wheels wrapped in 295/35 tires.

Finally, ABT’s entrance lights, steering wheel upgrade, tweaked center console, armrest and seats round out the makeover and make this tuned RS Q8 even more special.
