Ford has outlined the changes that are coming to the 2021 Mustang lineup and although you might be aware of the bigger ones (Mach 1 coming, Bullitt going), there are still some interesting details to uncover.

The most attention-grabbing is certainly the newest Shelby GT500 color. Grabber Yellow, along with Carbonized Gray Metallic and Antimatter Blue Metallic will all be available on the 760 hp pony car. All three colors will also be available in the regular Mustang lineup, along with Fighter Jet Gray, which is exclusive to the Mach 1.

Sadly, that does mean that some colors will be leaving the options catalog. No longer will Dark Highland Green (the Bullitt’s color), Grabber Lime, Kona Blue, or Magnetic be offered, and the GT500 won’t come in Wimbledon White anymore.

The Carbon Fiber Handling Package is also coming to the GT500. Intended as a halfway step between the $1,500 Handling Pack and the $18,500 Cabron-Fiber Track Pack, it will add some of the latter’s features without going all out. Along with a Gurney flap and splitter wickers, it adds adjustable strut top mounts, an oil catch can, and painted 20-inch carbon fiber wheels.

The other big addition to the Mustang lineup, as you may know, is the 2021 Mach 1. Ford says that the first batch of these has left the assembly plant and is currently on its way to dealers, which is exciting.

The car features a 480 hp 5.0-liter V8, a Tremec 6-speed manual (or a 10-speed auto), and it will offer rear-seat delete, along with a number of performance mods straight from the GT500.
