The Ford Mustang Bullitt is officially no more, with confirmation that production of the model ended late last year.

During a recent interview with Ford Authority, Mustang spokesperson Berj Alexanian said that the final Mustang Bullitt left the Ford Flat Rock Assembly Plant late last year, without providing a specific date.

Ford unveiled the new Mustang Bullitt to much fanfare at the North American International Auto Show in 2018. It didn’t take long for Mustang enthusiasts to begin clamoring for the car, prompting it to sell out in certain markets.

The Bullitt, which was based on the Mustang GT, was offered in Highland Green paint, designed to mimic the original movie car; customers could also opt for Shadow Black. Regardless of what paint color they chose, all Bullitt models came with 19-inch five-spoke wheels, chrome trim on the side windows and grille, a faux gas cap, and a spoiler and badge delete.

It’s unclear who the buyer of the final Mustang Bullitt was, but the car is bound to become a prized collector’s item.

Those wanting to pick up a new Mustang with more power than the GT but less than the insane Shelby GT500 now only have one option: the Mustang Mach 1. Starting at $51,720, the Mach 1 fills the void left behind by the Bullitt and the GT350 and comes with a 5.0-liter V8 delivering 480 hp at 7,000 rpm and 420 lb-ft (569 Nm) of torque at 4,600 rpm.
