With the new outdoor season approaching, Opel is targeting those shopping for a camper van with their 2021 Zafira Life Crosscamp Lite.

Offered alongside the Crosscamp Flex, which starts at €45,999 ($55,472) in Germany and gets a kitchenette, cupboards, cooker and wash basin, it can be had from €44,499 ($53,663).

Converted by a German company named Crosscamp, its equipment list counts a gas cooker that can be moved to the rear, space to store a 1.8 kg (4 lbs) gas cylinder, storage for the living quarters battery and a removable storage container located next to the rear sliding door on the driver’s side that can also attach to the rear of the vehicle.

A 13-liter (0.46 cu-ft) cool box for refreshments is available as well and can be fitted between the front seats. Additionally, the bench behind the front seats can turn into a 140×200 cm (55×79 in) bed at night, and two more beds, 120×200 cm (47×79 in) in size, can be placed under the standard rising roof. Opel’s new camper van can also be ordered with seating for up to seven.

Elsewhere, a generous bundle of safety gear is included, such as lane keep assist, hill start assist, front collision alert, emergency brake assist, drowsiness alert, traffic sign recognition and semi-adaptive cruise control. The infotainment system with smartphone integration, dual-zone climate control, heated front seats and others are also standard.

Customers can also get the optional 180-degree reversing camera, Park Pilot front and rear, with side blind zone alert, IntelliGrip traction control, head-up display and OpelConnect.
