More often than not, POV driving videos revolve around stock cars, but in this case, it was a tuned Cupra Formentor that had its 0 to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) and 100 to 200 km/h (62-124 mph) acceleration tested, on a B-road and the Autobahn respectively.

Modified by ABT, the Formentor’s 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder boasts 60 PS (59 HP / 44 kW) and 50 Nm (37 lb-ft) more than the stock unit thanks to a new engine control unit.

This means the sporty compact crossover now has 370 PS (365 HP / 272 kW) and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft), or 20 PS (20 HP / 15 kW) and 30 Nm (22 lb-ft) less than the Formentor VZ5, which sits at the top of the range and is powered by Audi Sport’s 2.5-liter five-pot. The tuner claims that the 0 to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) is dealt with in 4.6 seconds, 0.3 seconds quicker than the stock model and 0.4 seconds slower than the Formentor VZ5, whereas top speed is still electronically capped at 250 km/h (155 mph).

ABT has also installed an aftermarket exhaust system with 102 mm (4 in) tailpipes and a lowering spring kit that lowers the ride height by up to 35 mm (1.4 in). The final upgrade are the wheels, with customers getting to choose between different sizes and patterns, including the 20-inch Sport GR that equipped the Formentor demo car which was presented back in January.
