Your dose of fast cars, endless gear shifting and adrenaline rushes is nearly back on screens. After being pushed back for over a year, the final release date for the latest installment in the Fast And The Furious franchise is fast approaching.

F9, as it’s named, is set to be released on the June 25 and, going by previous trailers, will heavily expand upon Vin Diesel’s character, Dominic Toretto. The latest movie will introduce Dom’s brother, Jacob, played by John Cena.

F9 looks as if it’s going to follow the precedent set by earlier movies. That means cars, explosions and a lot of fighting. And despite the somewhat questionable storylines and progressive deviation from the original street racing themes, we admire the commitment to performing actual stunts without resorting to too much CGI. You could say the true stars of every Fast &a Furious movie are the fearless stuntmen and stuntwomen.

A behind the scenes video published by IGN gives a brief taster of what’s in store, with a dramatic stunt reel showcasing the action. Cue multiple explosions, a Dodge Charger flying, what appears to be some take on a NASCAR race, and more street-based carnage, including a British number-plate clad GT86 being pulled through a storefront.

Fans of the series will be happy to see Dom and his love for the Dodge Charger as always playing a small part in the film. There’s also the reappearance of a character long-presumed dead: Han, played by Sung Kang, whose Tokyo Drift-inspired Supra is seen sliding through some of the stunt reel. Other less-than-starring-role cars that meet their maker in this 1-minute trailer include several BMW 5-Series police cars, a Nissan Teana/Maxima, a Volvo S40, and a VW Golf, among many, many others. Which others can you spot?
