As the Audi E-Tron GT is based on the same platform as the Porsche Taycan, one could be excused for thinking it is simply a Taycan with unique bodywork and a different interior. However, as Rory Reid recently discovered, it is a very different car with its own appeal.
The example featured in this Auto Trader review is the flagship RS variant. It features a pair of electric motors that combine to pump out 590 hp and 612 lb-ft (830 Nm) of torque, although with Overboost enabled off the line, peak power jumps to 637 horses. A mere 3.1 seconds is all that’s needed to get to 60 mph (96 km/h) while the EV will continue to power through to a 155 mph (250 km/h) top speed.

During this review, Reid headed to the Scottish Highlands and drove the RS E-Tron on some truly great roads. Sure, most owners probably won’t frequent roads like these all that often but they do make for a review filled with nice scenery and backdrops. Of course, the car itself is also something rather special.
One of Reid’s key takeaways is the fact that even though the RS E-Tron is all-electric, it isn’t boring and bland to drive. Instead, it is as entertaining to drive as it is gorgeous to look at.
In the United States, pricing for the RS E-Tron GT starts at $139,900, while the non-RS variant, which has 469 hp and 464 lb-ft (630 Nm) of torque or 522 hp and 472 lb-ft (640 Nm) on Overboost, is priced from $99,900.
