When you’re out in your Jeep Wrangler or Gladiator, you want to feel the great outdoors. But we aren’t all lucky enough to live in areas with reliable weather. So Jeep has designed a new Sunrider Flip Top for Hardtop for people who need to cover up in a hurry.

The new product was introduced at the Chicago Auto Show today and is, put simply, a fabric roof that goes over the two front seats and can be slid back quickly in order to make opening your cabin up to the outdoors a little easier.

“We specifically developed the new Sunrider Flip Top for Hardtop for Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator owners who want to quickly and easily embrace the outdoors,” said Mark Bosanac, North America Vice President, Mopar Service, Parts & Customer Care. “Across the entire Jeep lineup, Mopar offers more than 500 quality-tested, factory-backed parts and accessories.”

Made of the same “ultra-premium” black twill fabric that Jeep says is common on high-end luxury convertibles, it will keep the weather out when you want it to and it comes with all of the hardware needed to mount it the first time. If you prefer, your Jeep dealer can install it for you.

Offered through Jeep Performance Parts, the Sunrider Flip Top for Hardtop effectively replaces the two front panels on your hardtop, so it shouldn’t matter if you have a two- or a four-door model. The part is available in the U.S. and Canada for 2018-2021 Jeep Wrangler and 2020-2021 Jeep Gladiator models, ringing in at an MSRP of $895.

“There is nothing like the open-air freedom a Jeep can offer on the road or on the trails,” said Jim Morrison, Vice President, Jeep Brand North America. “With this innovative new feature, our passionate owners will have yet another way to enhance their open-air experience.”
