Acura is keeping its cards close to its chest regarding the new Integra and won’t release any info just yet – including how many doors it will have.

The car manufacturer spectacularly announced the return of the Integra during Monterey Car Week, providing a teaser image of its headlight and previewing its side profile with a drone show during the announcement.

Eager to find out how many doors the car will have, Motor1 reached out to Acura and was promptly told the company couldn’t comment on how many doors the new model will have nor what body style it will take. During the announcement, Acura only referred to the new Integra as a “compact premium car” but failed to reveal anything more than that.

The car previewed through the drone show had a very sleek and aggressive profile, certainly fitting of a two-door. However, the side profile also matches up with a four-door sedan with coupe-inspired styling, leaving us with more questions than answers.

A dealership leak from Acura in mid-2020 revealed that the car manufacturer was working on a new Type S model, without specifying what form this vehicle would take, other than confirming it would be a compact sedan. The product timeline didn’t make any mention of a coupe.

Regardless of how many doors the new Integra will have, Acura will have its work cut out for it in ensuring the new model lives up to the famed name.

“I’m thrilled to say Integra is returning to the Acura lineup with the same fun-to-drive spirit and DNA of the original, fulfilling our commitment to Precision Crafted Performance in every way – design, performance and the overall driving experience,” vice president and Acura brand officer Jon Ikeda said during the initial announcement.
