Playing and working for a prestigious football club like FC Bayern Munich certainly has its perks and recently, players and officials were handed over the keys to various e-tron GT and RS e-tron GT models to use as their new company cars.

Audi has a long-standing partnership with the club and every year, provides its players with their company cars. In September last year, a large number of players and members of the club’s management were provided with Audi e-tron and e-tron Sportback models.

In total, 15 of FC Bayern’s players and officials will now be driving around in e-tron GT and RS e-tron GT models and during an official handover event at Audi’s Driver Experience Center in Neuburg, 10 FC Bayern players were provided with their first opportunity to experience the all-electric sedan. Players also received expert instruction from Formula E champions Lucas di Grassi and René Rast.

“The power of the Audi RS e-tron GT is electrifying,” said FC Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann. “Electric vehicles are definitely the future of mobility.”

“When imagination and passion come together, great achievements are the result. This equally applies to our partner FC Bayern as it does to Audi,” added head of the Audi brand, Henrik Wenders. “The Audi e-tron GT and Audi RS e-tron GT are the epitome of intelligent performance. These models are already shaping the future of the Audi brand. So it makes perfect sense that these brand ambassadors would join forces with FC Bayern’s brand ambassadors to show how both brands are committed to progress together.”
