Classic Land Rover Series IIA Can Now Become An EV Thanks To Everrati

British company Everrati has just unveiled an all-electric version of the iconic Land Rover Series IIA.

Land Rover produced the Series IIA from 1961 through to 1971 and to transform it for something better suited to the modern world, Everrati begins by completing disassembling it. The chassis and bulkhead are then galvanized and coated in a protective zinc process to prevent future corrosion.

Everrati then installs a 60 kWh battery pack and an electric motor with 150 hp and 221 lb-ft (300 Nm) of torque. Two- and four-wheel driving modes are available, as are hi and low ranges to boost the vehicle’s off-road credentials. The British company has also modernized the suspension and braking systems. The range stands at a respectable 125 miles (200 km).

A lot of time has also been spent on transforming the vehicle’s interior. As such, it now featured heated front seats trimmed in sustainable automotive leather. This leather continues across the rear bench and customers can even order heated lap belts.

“With the unveiling of an electric version of the legendary Land Rover Series IIA, we are continuing to deliver on Everrati’s mission, which is to craft cutting-edge, capable, highly desirable and sustainable cars, each with the soul of an icon,” founder and chief executive of Everrati Automotive Limited Justin Lunny said in a statement. “To do so requires unparalleled attention to detail and technical proficiency, with one eye on ensuring our iconic cars meet 21st century demands, and the other on safeguarding a vehicle’s original character and DNA – both dynamically and aesthetically.”

This first Land Rover Series IIA transformed by Everrati will be unveiled at the Concours of Elegance being held at Hampton Court Palace from September 3-5.
