Superformance is known for building continuation models, but their latest has an electric twist thanks to a partnership with Everrati.

It’s an electric version of the GT40 and it promises to combine old school styling with a modern electric powertrain.

The companies were tight-lipped about specifics, but said development is already underway. They added a prototype chassis has been built and is in the process of being “comprehensively adapted” to accommodate an electric powertrain.

Little is known about the latter, but Everrati noted each of their vehicles is outfitted with a “custom-designed electric power unit and battery system.” The company went on to say they pay “meticulous attention to detail” when it comes to battery location and weight distribution.

Additional information will be released in the coming months, but Everrati has already revealed plans to offer electric versions of the Porsche 911 (964), Land Rover Series II and Mercedes SL Pagoda. The latter promises to be “restored to the highest level” by a Mercedes-Benz specialist and outfitted with an electric motor that develops 180 hp (134 kW / 182 PS) and 369 lb-ft (500 Nm) of torque. The model is also slated to have a 57 kWh battery pack that delivers are range in excess of 160 miles (257 km).

The company’s electric 911 is far more powerful as it’s slated to offer up to 500 hp (373 / 507 PS) and 369 lb-ft (500 Nm) of torque. This should enable it to accelerate from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in less than four seconds.
