Nissan Australia will bid farewell to the R35-generation GT-R with the introduction of two limited editions that will land on local shores in October.

Shortly after it was confirmed that the GT-R will be axed Down Under because it doesn’t meet new side-impact crash test regulations, it has been confirmed the iconic sports car will be sent off with the limited-run T-spec and Nismo SV variants.

Nissan GT-R T-spec models coming to Australia are identical to those that will be offered in other markets, including Japan and the United States. Meanwhile, the GT-R Nismo SV is the same as the 2022 GT-R Nismo model recently introduced in Japan.

Sitting at the base of the GT-R range in Australia is the 2022 GT-R Premium, priced from AU$193,800 (US$140,987). It features a 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine with 561 hp (419 kW) at 6,800 rpm and 466 lb-ft (632 Nm) of torque at 3,300 rpm that’s mated to a six-speed dual-clutch transmission and all-wheel drive. For an additional AU$6,000 (US$4,364), buyers can pick up the keys to a GT-R Premium Luxury that adds hand-stitched semi-aniline leather-accented seats, steering wheel, gearshift, dashboard, and door panels.

The GT-R T-spec comes standard with gold alloy wheels and enlarged Brembo carbon ceramic brake rotors measuring 410 mm at the front and 390 mm at the rear. It is also equipped with a carbon fiber rear spoiler and a cabin finished in dark green with a quilt-stitched Alcantara roof lining and suede A-pillars. Local prices for the T-spec start at AU$256,700 (US$186,700).

The final two variants on offering are the 2022 Nismo and Nismo SV, priced at AU$378,000 (US$274,932) and AU$393,800 (US$286,424) respectively. Both feature the same 591 hp (441 kW) and 480 lb-ft (652 Nm) variant of the GT-R’s engine and are adorned with an array of new aerodynamic parts. Australia’s Nismo SV is the same as Japan’s GT-R Nismo ‘Special Edition,’ meaning it adds a clear-coated carbon fiber hood and exclusive 20-inch Rays aluminum forged wheels.
