We are kind of used to seeing Toyota and Subaru collaborations – first with the GT86 / BRZ sportscars and pretty soon with the bZ4X / Solterra electric SUVs. This time however a different kind of a Subaru/Toyota mashup was spotted in the wild by Reddit user Professional-Turn511.

The post, titled “When you’re a soccer mom, but monster trucking is life”, shows a red third-generation Subaru Legacy Touring Wagon (1999-2004) sitting on top of a white Toyota Camry XV50 (2011-2019) that seems to be parked.

If you are wondering what caused this mess, the user who posted the pictures explained the situation in the comments section. He said that the red Subaru was at fault (we could already tell that), with the driver hitting the planter at a “very high speed” and landing on top of the Toyota. Thankfully there were no people around at the time of the accident and no one was inside the parked Camry. Weirdly, there was no damage on the bushes but only tire marks on the planter.

The group of friends that came across this incident described what happened next: “This was a restaurant parking lot. Entered the restaurant, laughing hysterically with my group of friends. As we sat down, our waiter told us to stop laughing. We asked why, and he stated that the driver of the Subaru was sitting near us having breakfast and that we were being rude.”

While the Subaru looks like it will be driveable with probably just a few underbody scratches, the poor Camry will definitely need a new bumper, bonnet, and possibly a windscreen. By the way, a white Ford Mustang Cabrio can be spotted in the background, although it had absolutely nothing to do with the incident.
