Jaguar has updated the F-Type range in Australia, with the British sports car now being available exclusively with a V8.

In other markets such as the United States, the facelifted F-Type can also be ordered with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder and a 3.0-liter supercharged V6. These engines were previously available to Aussie buyers but the F-Type range has now been simplified and just two variants are now available: the F-Type R-Dynamic P450 and the F-Type R Coupe that launched last year.

The entry-level F-Type R-Dynamic P450 is available in Coupe and Convertible configurations and rocks a 5.0-liter supercharged V8 with 444 hp (331 kW) and 428 lb-ft (580 Nm) of torque from 2,500 rpm. Power is sent through the rear wheels courtesy of an eight-speed automatic transmission, allowing the P450 to hit 62 mph (100 km/h) in 4.6 seconds and a top speed of 177 mph (285 km/h).

All F-Type P450 models come standard with the R-Dynamic Pack and sit on 20-inch, six split-spoke wheels with a glass dark grey and contrast diamond turned finish.

As for the Jaguar F-Type R Coupe, it has been updated for the 2022 model year with a fixed panoramic roof, exterior design black pack, aluminum gearshift paddles, 20-inch Satin Grey 5-split spoke allows, Blind Spot Assist Pack, and a tire pressure monitoring system as standard.

Driving the F-Type R Coupe is also a 5.0-liter supercharged V8, albeit one that has been upgraded to deliver 567 hp (423 kW) and 516 lb-ft (700 Nm) of torque, resulting in a 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) time of 3.7 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 186 mph (300 km/h).

Aussie prices for the 2022 F-Type R-Dynamic P450 Coupe start at AU$159,900 (~US$118,000) while the P450 Convertible is available from AU$164,900 (~US$122,000). The F-Type R Coupe tops out the range at AU$264,955 (~US$196,000).
