Hyundai announced that both the fully electric Ioniq 5 and the Tucson SUV will be featured in the upcoming blockbuster ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ that is scheduled to premiere in movie theaters on December 17, making their Hollywood debut.

Besides its appearance in the film, the Ioniq 5 is also starring on the latest TV spot alongside Spider-Man played by Tom Holland, and his best friend Ned Leeds portrayed by Jacob Batalon. The 90-second commercial called “Only Way Home” was directed by Jon Watts, the director of the latest Spider-Man trilogy. The storyline suggests that Spider-Man is heading to New York, making use of the Ioniq 5’s 300-mile electric range. A 30-second version of that clip will air on television programs in the US, Europe, China, Russia, and other markets through January 2022.
