We’ve always been big fans of the C7-generation Chevrolet Corvette and while it does not have the same desirable mid-engined layout as the new car, it remains an excellent sports car and, at the time of its launch, was one of America’s finest performance cars. Unfortunately, this example has been massacred.

The following image has been circulating across Reddit in recent days and was snapped in the parking lot of a Home Depot in Florida. It has been equipped with some highly questionable modifications and making matters even worse is the fact that this appears to be a Z06, not just a Corvette Stingray.

For starters, the ‘Vette’s standard rear window has been replaced by a new panel with six protruding louvers. The vehicle owner has then made some tweaks to the rear lip spoiler and has then applied vertical red stripes to the rear bumper. A pair of mud flaps have then been fitted behind the rear wheels.

The questionable changes continue along the sides of the car. For starters, there are a set of aftermarket wheels combining yellow and black painted accents. A piece of chrome trim has also been fitted to the gas cap. However, perhaps the single most offensive alteration made to the car is the fitment of Ferrari stickers on the doors, mimicking the Scuderia Shields that the Italian automaker offers its customers as an expensive option.

For the most part, we think it’s nice that the owner of this Corvette is enthusiastic enough about it but Ferrari stickers? Really? That’s one step too far.
