Mitsubishi discontinued the Lancer Evo in 2016, increasing the collectability status of the last examples. Last year, a virtually new Evolution X Final Edition was offered for sale in Canada for $147,899 CAD ($118,227 USD), and now another low-mileage but also lightly modified Final Edition is listed for £68,000 ($89,211) in the UK by HJA Group.

The Japanese company manufactured a total of 3,100 Final Edition models for the entire world based on the Evo GSR trim, including 1,600 for the US market and 1,000 for Japan. According to the listing, this is the only JDM example known in existence in the UK. It was imported in 2018 with 2,925 km (1,818 miles) on the clock and now has an odometer reading of 4,525 km (2,812 miles) which is not much for a car that left the dealership back in 2015.

Despite being treated as a garage queen – something that is evident from its pristine condition – this Evo Final Edition has received a number of modifications. Thankfully the owner kept all of the original parts so it be converted back to stock when needed.

Visually, it is mostly stock, setting aside the Ralliart carbon fiber splitter, retaining the 18-inch BBS wheels and the special emblems. Inside we see the stock black leather Recaros with red stitching although there is an aftermarket Pioneer and Focal audio system, plus an APR carbon slam panel housing extra gauges on the dashboard.

The most striking upgrades though are mechanical, including an ECU calibration by Simon Norton. As a result, the turbocharged 2.0-liter engine produces 395 hp (298 kW / 400 PS) which is a healthy boost over the stock 303 hp (226 kW / 307 PS). Power is sent to all four wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and Mitsubishi’s S-AWC system.

Other parts include a Tomie Expreme Ti cat-back exhaust, a Lamspeed 3-inch downpipe, a ceramic-coated JM tubular manifold, an uprated fuel pump DW with Cosworth high-flow fuel rail, a Tomei 3 inch suction pipe kit, Radium catch cans, Carbing front, and rear strut braces, braided Goodridge brake hoses, and Ohlins coilovers for road and track.

While collectors are usually after stock cars, the mint condition of this one and the availability of all original parts makes it desirable. HJA Group can ship the vehicle for delivery almost anywhere in Europe, while offering long and short-term storage options for anyone that won’t be driving the Evo much.
