Aston Martin Valhalla Build Slot Listed For A Cool $1.2 Million

Aston Martin has yet to start production of the Valhalla, but a build slot for the plug-in hybrid supercar is already available for purchase in Germany. The slot is priced at €1,189,999 ($1,210,437) including taxes and comes with an estimated delivery date of December 2023.

The Valhalla is offered by Auto Seredin, an exotic car dealership located in the German city of Hechingen, near Stuttgart. Predictably, the asking price of $1.2 million for the build slot is much higher than the official price of £580k before taxes. The automaker will produce 999 examples of the Valhalla, instead of the 500 units originally planned, due to increased demand. Since the production of the Valhalla won’t start before 2023, there is still time for the buyer to spec the car according to their liking, as noted by the “Free Spec” sign on the listing.

Aston Martin’s new mid-engined supercar – codenamed AM RB 003 – was introduced in concept form in 2019, slotting below the flagship Valkyrie. The final production version was shown in 2021, featuring significant updates. Setting aside the redesigned bodywork, initial plans for an electrified V6 set to be developed in-house were scrapped in favor of a more modern V8-based plug-in hybrid powertrain.

The production-spec Aston Martin Valhalla combines an AMG-sourced twin-turbo V8 engine producing 739 hp (551 kW / 750 PS), with two electric motors adding an extra 201 hp (150 kW / 204 PS). The total power output is an impressive 937 hp (698 kW / 950 PS), transmitted to all four wheels through an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. According to Aston Martin, 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) acceleration takes 2.5 seconds, while the top speed is 217 mph (330 km/h). Other cool features include the carbon-fiber chassis, the F1-style pushrod suspension with adjustable dampers, the active aerodynamics, the carbon-ceramic brakes, and the targeted dry weight of 1,550 kg (3,417 pounds).
