Now we all know that certain Chinese car manufacturers have a history of copying the designs of products from Western automakers. The bizarre baby SUV you’re looking at may be one of the most blatant rip-offs we’ve seen for quite some time.

We first stumbled across these images when they were shared to Chinese social media site Weibo. They show what can only be described as a Toyota Land Cruiser LC300 that has been shrunk and morphed into quite the eyesore.

Very few details about the vehicle are known. Found at the rear is lettering that reads Kuluze but it doesn’t seem as though Kuluze is a Chinese car manufacturer. It’s not even known if this is a planned production model, a one-off, or if it could in fact be a distinct vehicle that has simply been dressed up as a Land Cruiser by an aftermarket firm.

A Baby Toyota Land Cruiser LC300 Replica Has Surfaced In China

The front fascia of the creation is virtually identical to that of a Land Cruiser LC300, albeit on a slightly smaller scale. There are the same familiar pair of headlights with LED daytime running lights as well as a large grille dominated by silver slats that run horizontally.

The side profile of the SUV is particularly bizarre because the vehicle appears to sit almost as high as a genuine Land Cruiser but has absolutely tiny wheels and tires. Found at the rear are familiar LC300 taillights, a near-identical tailgate, and a diffuser of sorts with fake exhaust cutouts.

Regardless of whether this is a production model, a one-off, or a tuner’s special creation, we suspect that most people would agree the overall shape and design of the LC300 does not suit a vehicle of this size.
