The driver of a Ford Transit almost took out two Tesla Model 3s in one fell swoop in North Carolina a couple of weeks ago.

A black Model 3 and a red Model 3 were driving together in North Carolina when they crested a hill and out of nowhere, the driver of a grey Ford Transit traveling in the opposite direction turned directly into the path of the duo.

The dramatic dashcam video from the red Model 3 shows that the driver of it slammed on the brakes and swerved to the left to try and avoid the Transit. However, they weren’t able to react in time and ended up hitting the rear of the Ford. Meanwhile, the driver of the black Model 3 swerved to the right and was able to avoid contact by just a few inches.

While police responding to the scene quickly determined that the driver of the Ford Transit was to blame for the crash,  the driver was using the correct turning lane and because of the small hill, likely had a hard time seeing the two oncoming Teslas. Fortunately, no one involved in the crash was injured.

The red Model 3 suffered quite a lot of damage in the crash. We can see that one of the headlights has been destroyed, as has the passenger side front quarter panel. The wing mirror has also been ripped off and the passenger front window smashed.

The YouTube channel that shared the clip online says that the driver of the red Model 3 damaged in the crash has filed a claim with the insurance provider of the Transit driver.
