Pickup trucks, like supercars, are often bought by people who relish their ability to attract attention, and often modify them to pull in even more eyeballs, but rarely find out what their vehicle is capable of.

And then there are guys like the owner of this mega Ram truck in Australia. The huge body lift and off-road tires probably don’t improve its handling on twisty mountain roads, but they certainly proved useful on the switchback in this video, which was entirely blocked by a marooned semi-trailer.

It’s not clear whether the semi had broken down, or simply didn’t have the traction to pull itself around the bend, but the scene opens with the semi’s cab pushed right up against a rock wall and with the trailer at 90 degrees to it and laid out across the entire road.

There’s simply no way for anything other than a motorcycle to squeeze past, but why settle for going around when you can go over? With the semi’s ramps lowered the Ram’s owner drivers forward, one set of wheels on the trailer, and the other set on the earth bank to the left of it.

There’s some snagging as the Ram’s body catches on the side of the trailer on its way down, but thanks to its incredible axle articulation and some deft moves by the man at the wheel, it makes it past relatively easily. But that’s only the first part of the show. The next thing we see is the Ram using its diesel torque to haul the entire rig up the hill.

The Drive reports that the Ram owners’ Instagram posts reveal a King suspension setup and a high-quality cage, but the rescue happened more than a year ago and the account appears to have since been removed.
