Spy photographers caught the facelifted BMW M4 Convertible last month and now they’ve managed to snag its coupe counterpart.

Looking beautiful in blue, the high-performance model is instantly recognizable as the front end largely carries over. However, we can see new headlights that echo those found on the facelifted 3-Series which debuted last year.

The grille has also been updated as it sports a new sensor pod in the driver’s side nostril. The minor changes continue at the opposite end as we can get a glimpse of new taillights that are similar to those found on the M4 CSL.

It’s possible the production model could have more extensive updates, but we shouldn’t expect radical changes in the cabin as the M4 was recently outfitted with a Curved Display that consists of a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.9-inch infotainment system. That being said, the latter could be upgraded to the latest operating system.

We’ll learn more in the coming months, but rumors have suggested the twin-turbo 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine could be upgraded to produce around 518 hp (386 kW / 525 PS). That would be a modest increase over the current M4 Competition xDrive, which has 503 hp (375 kW / 510 PS) and can accelerate from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 3.4 seconds.
