The Ford Excursion was a wonderful exercise in excess, but it had a short run and a less than desirable reputation. However, its spirit lives on in the all-new MegaRexx SVN.

Based on a 2023 Ford F-250 Super Duty Crew Cab Lariat Ultimate, the truck has been transformed into a “one-of-a-kind” SUV that features a hand-made aluminum roof, custom side glass, and a twin-panel panoramic moonroof.

That’s just the tip of the iceberg as the SVN has been equipped with heavy duty bumpers, power side steps, and auxiliary lights. They’re joined by Bushwacker fender flares and matte black 18-inch wheels wrapped in 37-inch mud-terrain tires.

The latter pair nicely with an Icon Vehicle Dynamics 4.5-inch Stage 3 suspension system. Other highlights include new radius arms, high-mount dual steering stabilizers, and an adjustable track bar.

While the exterior is interesting, the interior truly sets the SVN apart as it offers seating for up to nine people. There’s heated and ventilated front seats as well as captain’s chairs in the second- and third-row. However, the real coup de grace is a power-folding, fourth-row bench seat sourced from the Expedition.

To ensure third- and fourth-row passengers remain comfortable, the model has been outfitted with a second climate control system from Vintage Air. It’s joined by four extra speakers and a subwoofer.

Under the hood, there’s a 6.7-liter turbodiesel V8 producing 500 hp (373 kW / 507 PS) and 1,200 lb-ft (1,625 Nm) of torque. It’s connected to a ten-speed automatic transmission and a four-wheel drive system.

MegaRexx didn’t say how much this particular build cost, but it likely wasn’t cheap as the donor vehicle appears to have had a sticker north of $83,000.
