Lancia is gearing up to introduce the redesigned Ypsilon in February, but a couple of undisguised photos have surfaced online.
The model follows in the footsteps of the Pu+Ra HPE concept and features a thick black band with “LANCIA” lettering. They’re joined by slender LED lighting strips as well as low mounted headlights. We can also see vertical air curtains and a wide central intake.
The rear end is relatively tame by comparison, but the model has circular taillights with Y-shaped elements. They’re connected by a black bar, which appears to be designed to echo the one up front. Additional details are hard to make out, but the Ypsilon has a small rear spoiler and a curvaceous rear window.

Spy photographers have already gotten a peek inside and the car will be equipped with a digital instrument cluster as well as a new SALA infotainment system. We can also expect a flat-bottom steering wheel, a tray-like table, and an illuminated orb that gives off an Amazon Echo vibe.
Lancia is slowly teasing the model, but has already confirmed the Ypsilon will be offered with hybrid and electric powertrains. Specifics are hazy, but rumors have suggested the electric variant could have a lot in common with the Jeep Avenger and Peugeot e-208. If that’s the case, we can expect a 154 hp (115 kW / 156 PS) motor and a 54 kWh battery that provides approximately 248 miles (400 km) of range.
