If you’ve been searching for a massive pickup truck that would be perfectly suited to the zombie apocalypse, look no further than this Ford F-250 Crew Cab recently modified by MegaRexx Trucks.

In thoroughly overhauling this F-250, the company out of Wilmington, North Carolina, has installed 4.5-inch Icon Vehicle Dynamics dual-rate front springs and 5-inch Icon full-progressive rear leaf springs. It has also fitted Fox Racing 2.5 front and rear remote reservoir shocks. Other suspension upgrades made include new radius arms, adjustable track bars, and Fox Racing dual steering stabilizers.

Making the truck stand out from most other F-250’s you’ll see on the street is the custom bed. MegaRexx hasn’t provided all that many details about the bed, including what materials it has used, but these photos show it adopts a dramatic and angular design. The bed has been complemented by a revised front fascia and a new rear bumper.

Other exterior changes made to the truck include a RedRock Baja honeycomb grille with amber marker lights. MegaRexx has also fitted a 40-inch front dual-row LED light bar, a train horn, gloss black MRAP wheels, side plates, and new tires. The Ford also benefits from Amp Research Powerstep XL side steps.

The 6.7-liter Power Stroke turbo-diesel V8 remains standard and continues to produce 475 hp and 1,050 lb-ft (1,423 Nm) of torque.

Some subtle changes have also been made to the Ford’s cabin, although MegaRexx hasn’t provided us with any photos of the interior. Nevertheless, it is said to include Black Onyx micro-perforated leather and factory options include a 1,000-watt Bang & Olufsen sound system and a 12-inch infotainment display. Features that the new owner will find useful include the Tow Technology Package and Long-Trailer Blind-Spot Detection and a 360-degree Trailer View.
