- Porsche and Pixar built three one-off 911s inspired by Toy Story characters.
- Each car channels the personality of Woody, Buzz Lightyear, or Jessie.
- The trio debuts on the Toy Story 5 red carpet in Los Angeles in June.
Porsche can’t stop stretching the 911 lineup into ever more niches, though this time it’s not chasing lap times or Nürburgring bragging rights. Instead, it’s leaning into pop culture, teaming up with Disney and Pixar for a trio of one-off builds inspired by Toy Story characters.
The three new 911s channel Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and Jessie through Porsche Sonderwunsch personalization division, translating personality into paint, trim, and design cues. Toy Story production designer Bob Pauley says the goal was to express each character through materials, color, and form, which sounds abstract until you see what they’ve teased.

The preview shows three covered cars, their signature lighting just visible underneath. One features a large rear wing, a natural match for Buzz’s “Space Ranger” persona. The car on the left appears to be a Targa body style, a nod to Jessie’s claustrophobia. Finally, Woody will likely get the standard 911 Coupe with a cowboy-themed specification.
The 911 trio will debut on the red carpet at the Toy Story 5 premiere in Los Angeles, on June 8, ahead of the movie’s theatrical release on June 19. The fifth installment follows the toys as they navigate an increasingly digital world, facing off against a disruptive tablet device named Lilypad.
Timo Resch, President and CEO of Porsche Cars North America, said: “Many people fondly look back on their first toy – much like the feeling they experience when they see or drive one of our cars for the first time. We are excited to bring our Sonderwunsch program together with Disney and Pixar once again to create Woody, Buzz Lightyear and Jessie inspired vehicles in 911 form.”

This is not the first time Porsche has teamed up with Pixar. Back in 2022, the company unveiled a one-off 911 inspired by the Sally Carrera character from the movie Cars. It was based on the GTS trim of the 992 generation and featured a special livery, 996-style alloy wheels, and a custom interior.
Built For A Good Cause
The trio of bespoke 911s won’t be heading to showrooms or private order books. Instead, they’re set to be sold together as part of a high-profile charity effort, with proceeds supporting three non-profit organizations focused on helping children and people in need.
Valuing one-offs like these is always a bit of guesswork, but there is a useful benchmark. The Sally Special brought in $3.6 million at auction in 2022. With three cars tied to one of Pixar’s biggest franchises, it’s reasonable to expect an even bigger number when the hammer finally drops.
