Anyone shopping for a rugged, go-anywhere full-size pickup from Ford already knows the F-150 Raptor and Raptor R sit at the top of the pile. The problem starts when you want something bigger, because Ford’s regular lineup runs out of answers past that point. AEV has stepped in to fill the gap.

Sure, the big Ford F-250 Super Duty is available in Tremor configuration, but AEV’s upgrade package takes things to a different level. The upgrades made to AEV’s new FX370 kit start with a set of 18-inch black wheels wrapped in 37-inch BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO3 tires, perfect for some off-roading.

Working alongside the new wheel and tire package is AEV’s new 4-inch DualSport suspension system, complete with Bilstein shocks specifically tuned for this application. AEV does sell a separate kit for the Super Duty, known as the FXL, consisting of 40-inch tires, but these bigger shoes necessitate the use of aftermarket fender flares, something the new FX370 avoids, giving it more of an OEM look.

With that being said, it only takes a quick look at the Ford’s front-end to realize that this is no ordinary Super Duty. AEV has developed a rugged new steel front bumper for it, capable of supporting a heavy-duty winch and new lights.

Changes have also been made to the rear, where there is a new high-clearance bumper. Rounding out AEV’s upgrades include an exterior graphics package and embroidered headrests.

Unsurprisingly, modifying an F-250 Super Duty with these parts doesn’t come cheap. AEV is asking $19,999 for the kit, which obviously doesn’t account for the $45,975 starting price of an entry-level F-250 in the US. But if an F-150 is a little too small for you and you need something to traverse difficult terrain, something like this could suit.
