After a 15 year absence, the Tricolore is back at Lamborghini. The Italian automaker quietly used Monterey Car Week to introduce the new Temerario Tricolore, which is the first model to use that moniker since the Gallardo LP 550-2 Tricolore in 2011.
Jointly created by Lamborghini Centro Stile and Ad Personam, the one-off model features a Blu Marinus Shiny lower body and a Bianco Monocerus upper. They’re joined by Glossy Nero Noctis paint on the roof, mirrors, and wheels. The latter are backed up by Rosso brake calipers, which add a pop of color.

More notably, the Temerario has a green, white and red hood stripe inspired by the Italian flag. This is what the model is named after and it mimics the stripe found on the original car. However, that flourish was offset and full-length.
Lamborghini only released a couple interior pictures, but the Temerario Tricolore has Nero Ade upholstery and Rosso Alala contrast stitching. The cabin has also been outfitted with a silhouette of the car as well as Tricolore badging on the door panels.
Power is provided by a familiar plug-in hybrid system, which consists of a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine, three electric motors, an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, and a 3.8 kWh battery pack. This gives the coupe a combined output of 907 hp (677 kW / 920 PS) and 538 lb-ft (730 Nm) of torque. Thanks to those generous numbers, the car can accelerate from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 2.7 seconds and hit a top speed of 213 mph (343 km/h).
To put those figures into perspective, the rear-wheel drive Gallardo LP 550-2 Tricolore had a 5.2-liter V10 engine producing 542 hp (405 kW / 550 PS) and 398 lb-ft (540 Nm) of torque.
