If you’ve ever heard a Lexus LFA screaming at full throttle it’s probably at or near the top of your fantasy garage list. And since ownership is just a fantasy for most of us, you might as well imagine having the keys to the most perfect LFA around, and this might be it.
Broad Arrow Private Sales has just listed an extraordinary 2012 LFA Nürburgring Package that has covered only 72 miles (116 km) from new. That’s barely enough to warm the titanium exhaust, let alone enjoy one of the greatest sounding engines ever fitted to a road car.

Lexus built only 500 LFAs, and just 64 received the coveted Nürburgring Package. Of those, only 25 were delivered to the US, making this one of the rarest Japanese performance cars ever officially sold in America.
The Ring Package wasn’t simply a cosmetic upgrade, buyers receiving a 563 hp (570 PS) version of a 4.8-liter V10 that revved to 9,000 rpm. Ring cars also got quicker gearshifts, revised suspension, additional carbon fiber aerodynamic parts including the fixed rear wing, and a lighter overall package developed with the legendary German circuit firmly in mind. The result was a 7 minute 14.64 second Nürburgring lap time, a production car record that stood for several years.

This particular car is LFA number 488 and wears Whitest White paint over a showy white and red interior with graphite BBS forged wheels. The original window sticker reveals that the first owner’s decision to opt for the Nürburgring Package added $70,000, and then Lexus also charged another $70,500 for serial plate number 488, helping push the original MSRP to more than $522,000.
That was a heap of money in 2012 for a car from a brand with no supercar credentials, even if the tech was better than anything Lamborghini offered at the time. Now that figure looks almost quaint. An orange US market Nürburgring Package LFA with roughly twice the mileage sold for around $1.9 million in 2023, making it entirely plausible this virtually untouched example could challenge the $2 million mark if the right buyer comes calling.
Catch It At Monterey
Unlike a traditional auction lot, this Lexus LFA is being offered through Broad Arrow’s private sales division, meaning there’s no bidding war to watch unfold. Instead, one very wealthy collector simply has to decide how much the ultimate Lexus is worth.
